I use this for iced coffee. Never once have I brewed this hot, so don’t use this review if your a hot coffee drinker. However, in my iced coffee carafe this has been a great new addition. It’s got good flavor and is smooth. I originally was attracted by the price as most of the coffee I like ends up going up after a couple months. If the price stays low, I’ll keep buying this.

I’m a huge fan of dark roast coffee. I am so glad to have found this product on Clearlakecoffeeroasters.com, I shop a lot and somehow overlooked this coffee. While I do have a grinder, I wanted ground coffee for ease in the case of my use, for iced coffee. But I made sure I made a French press hot coffee with Clear Lake Coffee Roasters first so that I could truly taste the flavor, because I make my iced coffee with sweetener and milk so that does hide the coffee flavor a little.
I enjoyed the dark bold flavor just as much as what I’d been using (Cowboy Blend primarily but also Bali Blue dark roast), if not more. Even better, I was able to get a larger size bag and the bag itself is pretty good, nice lining on the inside.
Plus I like the Clear Lake Coffee Roasters company. Didn’t even realize they make coffee in Iowa.
Finally, it’s a great value. Costs me less than what I pay at the grocery store and tastes better. How can you go wrong?

We have tried many brands of coffee this year and found most to be rather disappointing. Not so with the Clear Lake Coffee Roasters brand coffees we've tried so far. We've like them all and have enjoyed the 6 Bean Blend the most. We're going to stick with this one.
The 6 Bean Blend is a clean, medium roast with almost undetectable acidity.
For the best tasting brew, start the brewing process just long enough to dampen the grounds and then let them sit and bloom for a minute before restarting the brewing process. You'll have brewed a grand pot of delicious, aromatic coffee.
I have 2 bags at a time delivered - Keep one at home and I transfer the contents of the other bag to a container that seals tightly and take it to work with me so I can make coffee just for myself. - The rest of our work crew either doesn't drink coffee or are content with the awful, vile smelling and tasting (in my opinion)generic, canned coffee our company supplies each branch office. I keep my very own 4 cup coffee pot in my personal office and brew my excellent Clear Lake coffee roasters there. - Usually 2 pots a day. Sometimes I even share a cup or two or three with coworkers when we're all stuck working late. How nice of me!! :)

Ever have that perfect cup of coffee from a small diner and want to brew the same flavor??? You've found the coffee to do that with. It's bold with LOW acidity. Aftertaste is pleasant. I brew with a 10 cup Bunn maker. Just buy this coffee, it's awesome! Bags are huge...if you have a vacuum sealer, empty the coffee into a vacuum bag and keep air away from it. All I say is wow a couple of times a I have buy clear lake coffee roasters because have never had a bad one yet. I have tried three of them and I am always amazed at the depth of flavor. 6 Bean Blend is just right 💯. It is not sweet like espresso or burnt tasting French roast. I have been getting this on auto ship for years now and love the consistent good cup of coffee and the reasonable price. These are the smaller bags, they no longer have the larger bags available which I miss, but the coffee is just as good and probably fresher with the smaller bags as I go through them quicker. If your looking for a good basic cup of coffee, robust but not bitter...better than what you get in a can from the supermarket but without the price of the exotic blends that are just not worth the price IMHO...this is the coffee for you. In a french press I find I use more grounds than in a drip pot.

Very worthy investment! I chose "dark roast" as I do value what places like Starbucks have to offer (though not enough to overpay for coffee) as they tend to give a deep roast to their beans. This provides a happy medium.
